Flat O-Rings and Ring Gaskets Cut to Size

Set your outside diameter, inside diameter and thickness, choose a material, and the price appears as you type. Cut to your exact numbers, no minimum order, ships in one business day.

Flat rings, not molded O-rings

We cut flat rings from sheet material — a rectangular cross-section, like a washer or a ring gasket. We do not make molded O-rings with a round cross-section (the AS568 dash-number type that sits in a machined groove).

If your seal sits in a groove and rolls, you need a molded O-ring and we are not the right supplier. If your seal sits flat between two faces — a flange, a cap, a housing, a lid, a fitting — a flat cut ring is what you want, and it is often the better part: it seals a larger area and does not need a groove machined for it.

What we cut these for

  • Flange and pipe joints where a flat face seals against another flat face
  • Filter housings, pump covers and inspection caps
  • Replacements for a discontinued ring where you have the old part or the dimensions
  • Spacer and shim rings where thickness matters more than sealing

Materials

  • Silicone — widest temperature range.
  • EPDM — water, steam and outdoor exposure.
  • Buna-N (nitrile) — fuel, oil and hydraulic fluid.
  • Viton — aggressive chemicals and sustained heat.
  • Neoprene — general purpose sealing.

How to measure

  • Outside diameter — across the widest point of the ring.
  • Inside diameter — across the opening. On a flange, match the bore rather than the old gasket if the old one has been squeezed out of shape.
  • Thickness — thinner compresses and conforms more readily; thicker fills a larger gap.

If you have a drawing instead of measurements, upload a DXF and we cut the outline exactly as drawn, including any bolt holes.

Which material should I pick?

Full comparison on our Materials Guide.

  • Hot parts with oil or fuel (engines, exhaust) → Viton (FKM)
  • Hot parts, no oil (ovens, HVAC) → Silicone
  • Oil or fuel (pumps, hydraulics, petroleum) → Buna-N (Nitrile) — or Viton for higher heat
  • Water / outdoor / sun → EPDM
  • General automotive or light oil → Neoprene
  • Chemicals / aggressive fluids → PTFE (Teflon) — or Viton for high heat plus chemicals
  • Soft seal / uneven surfaces / low pressure → Cork blends

We CNC cut (laser, waterjet, and more) to ±0.015″. Up to 32.5″ × 32.5″ for most materials; the quote tool shows the exact limit for the one you pick. Ships in one business day. Large orders may take longer.

How to measure

  1. Measure the outside size — diameter for rounds, or length × width for rectangles and squares.
  2. Measure the inside opening and any holes (ID, bolt holes, bolt circle if it is a flange).
  3. Note the thickness you need — pick it in the quoter.
  4. Enter sizes in inches.
  5. Already have a drawing? Upload a DXF for an instant price.
